FoodCubes are made from durable and weather-resistant materials such as PVC or HDPE, and they come in a variety of sizes and shapes to accommodate different gardening needs. They feature a modular design, which allows gardeners to customize the layout and add or remove sections as needed.

The self-watering system in FoodCubes consists of a reservoir that holds water at the bottom of the bed, with a wicking material such as felt or capillary matting that draws moisture up into the soil. This helps to create a consistent level of moisture throughout the soil, which can help to promote healthy plant growth and reduce the risk of overwatering or underwatering.
